The second week of Summer Adventure Program was all about American Patriotism. The first interesting craft the children made was an American Flag key chain made out of red, white and blue beads.

The next day our awesome craft was a tissue paper wreath on the rim of a paper plate.

The third amazing craft was an eagle made of hand prints. The craft we did on Thursday, the 4th craft of the week was melted styrofoam cup painted red white and blue. Mrs. Dreher melted the cups in her oven to make them look similar to Uncle Sam's hat.

We don't know where she finds all these cool crafts.

On the 5th and final day of the American Patriotism week was and eagle wreath. It was made out of a paper place, colored paper strips and an eagle that we colored

We only had one special trip that week. That wonderful trip was to Pirate Park in Barnegat. We all had a blast there. It was very hot and humid but we didn't notice because we were having so much fun.

That week the SAP teachers taught us how to play 4 Square. We learned very quickly. Now it is one of our favorite things to play during free time. That made two 4 square boxes on the gym floor with tape.

Also that week we took a poll on what was our favorite craft of the week. The results were:

  • Eagle Keychain - 6

  • Eagle hand print - 4 votes
  • Styrafoam cups - 2 votes
  • Eagle Wreath - 2 votes
  • Tissue paper wreath - 1 vote

All that patriotism made us even more excited to come back to SAP.
